Kids for Wish Kids
 Kids for Wish Kids® is a program designed for K-12 school students, student organizations and other youth groups such as scout troops, vacation bible schools and day care centers that are interested in raising money to help turn dreams into reality for children with life-threatening medical conditions right here in Minnesota. Kids for Wish Kids is a popular program that uniquely empowers children to help Wish Kids fulfill their wildest dreams.
In their creation of innovative fundraising activities, children develop their leadership abilities as well as enhance their math, organizational, and teamwork skills while coordinating events with fellow classmates and their advisors. The kids are responsible for forming committees, coming up with fundraising ideas, and carrying them out. Kids for Wish Kids fosters the value of community service by providing hands-on experience in helping to grant wishes of children in their own community through the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Minnesota.
The main goals of the Kids for Wish Kids program are:
- To increase awareness among children and their teachers about the mission of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Minnesota
- To encourage children to become actively involved through the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Minnesota in fulfilling the wishes of children facing life-threatening illnesses
- To foster the value of community service in children of all ages
- To provide children with a positive learning experience about life-threatening illnesses and how they can make a difference
- To provide interaction among children, teachers and parents
- To generate funding for the sole purpose of granting wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses in the Minnesota community
Different ways that you can Share the Power of a Wish:
- Have a toy drive and collect toys for “Wish Bags” that are given to Wish Kids when interviewers first come to their house. These bags make Wish Kids feel more at home with their interviewers and give them fun reminders of their upcoming wish even in the midst of their pain and their treatment.
- Volunteer for Make-A-Wish Foundation of Minnesota. We need volunteers for every aspect of the Wish process. Please see the Volunteer link to find more information about how you can get involved.
- Raise money to either Adopt-A-Wish® or help fund our Kids for Wish Kids Featured Wish.

- Helmet and safety equipment for snowmobile wishes

- Celebrity Pack’s for wishes (includes celebrity memorabilia and items)
- Life jackets for family of 5 for boat wishes
- Books for Higher Education wishes
- One week of rental car for travel wishes
- Luau in Hawaii for a family of 4
- Standard vet care for one year for Horse Wishes
