Volunteer Orientation

There are four easy steps to becoming a volunteer at the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Minnesota.

Step One: Explore the Possibilities
Review the Volunteer Opportunities section of this site to find out which of our various opportunities would be best for you. Then, complete the volunteer application and return it to the office. Click here to download volunteer application. Office mailing address is:

Step Two: Processing Paperwork
Once we have recieved your completed application, we will follow up with your references and conduct a criminal background check. We will also contact you to set up an interview over the phone or in the office to discuss your interests, skills, and availability.

Step Three: Attend Orientation
If we have an opening that fits both your needs and those of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, you will be invited to attend an orientation. During this session, we'll discuss the organization further as well as our volunteer program and policies.

Step Four: Join Our Team
Additional training will be provided for your assignment as needed.
Once you have completed this process, you may begin to make MAGIC!
