"I wish to take my entire class to a Timberwolves game!"
Andrew, a 13-year-old boy from Savage battles leukemia, but he didn't let that stop him from having the time of his life at a recent Timberwolves game. Andrew's unique wish – to bring his entire class to a Timberwolves game – was a wonderful experience for all involved.
Andrew and his friends were surprised at school as they were picked up by Hummer limos and taken to the Target Center where they were able to watch the team warm up, meet some players and get a few autographs. All the kids had front row seats to the game where the 'Wolves beat the Chicago Bulls! Andrew was honored at center court during the game as a Timberwolves "Hero in the Making"!
His classmates, who have supported him throughout his treatment, held up signs saying "St. Mikes loves Andrew". The kids all had a great time. And to top it all off, after receiving his personalized Timberwolves jersey, Andrew sunk the free-throw in front of thousands of people! He just may be the new recruit on the team!
